Merger
The St. Antonius hospital organisation has three locations in Utrecht and Nieuwegein and employs a total of 5,000 staff. It is a hospital with a national reputation for the treatment of patients suffering from cardiovascular and lung diseases. The organisation resulted from the merger between the Mesos Medical Centre and St. Antonius Hospital.
This took place in 2009. Since then the new hospital group has presented itself as a hospital that combines medical excellence with a people focus, and a rational with an empathetic approach. A newly developed corporate identity symbolises these four aspects.
Our task was to determine the impact of and to implement this new corporate identity.
By performing an impact analysis, we identified the costs, benefits and savings potential relating to the introduction of the new corporate identity. We also tested how effectively the corporate design could be used in practice. This resulted in a recommendation on the best approach to take for its introduction. We then introduced this corporate identity successfully.
A corporate identity project such as this is a huge undertaking. Being able to rely on the support of a company that specialises in this area really took the weight off our shoulders.
