NykampNyboer was founded by Eric Nijkamp and Bert Nijboer in 1991 who wanted to set up an organisation specialising in branding implementation. At that time there was no independent organisation that could co-ordinate and implement operations such as the introduction of a new corporate identity. It was not long before we started assisting companies such as KPN, Living Friesland, Heineken, Terstal, NS, Corus, ABN Amro, the University of Twente and many other companies, ministries, municipalities, health care insurance companies, educational and health care institutions. And they are still our customers today.

Over the years the focus has broadened from 'brand implementation' to 'visual identity management'. We developed a methodology to manage projects and processes concerning the the visual identity of organisations. In 2005 the founders withdrew and handed over the company to its present management.

To meet the growing need to provide appropriate solutions for international visual identity management, the Visual Identity Management Group (VIM Group) was established. Now, the VIM Group has partners in Great Britain, Germany, Australia, the United States, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. The VIM Group carries out international corporate identity projects together with local partners.
